Monetary Policy Framework

The Central Bank of Liberia conducts monetary policy with the primary objective of achieving and maintaining price stability. The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meets quarterly to review economic conditions and set the policy rate.

The CBL uses a range of instruments including the policy rate, open market operations through Treasury Bills and CBL Bills, and reserve requirements to manage liquidity and influence credit conditions in the economy.
